Jazzy's Social Club Coaster/ Cocktail Napkin Tray - 1920's Prohibition

$15.99

One of the most famous clubs in Harlem, "Jazzy's Social Club" was famous for its all negro jazz band as well as its imported Canadian Whiskey. All during Prohibition this establishment never closed - rumor had it, the owners made an arrangement with city hall.

Use one as a catch all tray or get a set and use them as coasters. They make pretty swanky serving dishes as well. Own a piece of history.

The underside reads: "A Speakeasy, also called a Blind Tiger was a saloon or social club that illegally sold alcohol during Prohibition (1920 to 1933). The owners of these saloons, and the gangsters that supplied them with their stock, like the notorious Al Capone and his Chicago Organization, were seen by the public as glamorous personalities. Speakeasies were also the first bars to encourage women to patronize them by offering music and entertainment as well as fancy cocktails. In honor of these long gone night spots, Trixie & Milo present our "Speakeasy" trays, each one decorated with a vintage cocktail napkin design from the 1920's to 30's."

Features:

  • 6" x 6" heavy procelain tray.
  • Food safe and dishwasher/microwave safe.
  • Vintage artwork fired into the ceramic (will never come off)!
